He came from outer space

Here is the finished piece of Hawkman. Does anybody remember the cartoon that was done in the sixties? They released the DVD of it some months back. He had this glove that did some cool stuff (much like Space Ghost's Bands) like heat ray, force blast and shields. I wish they would give him that now. I mean he is supposed to be a hawkman from both gold and silver ages, give'm some space weapons damn it!! So here he is with his trusty Space Mace and his Talon Glove ready to bust heads from any galaxy with a smile on his face.

PS this is what he looked like in the cartoon

Birds of a feather...

Here are some sketches of The Winged Warrior Hawkman!

Spitfire

And to continue my love fest for English superheroes (even though she was created by Americans Roy Thomas and Frank Robbins) I bring you the Invader's speedster Lady Falsworth AKA Spitfire. Another great character getting the love and attention she deservers in the new Captain Britain comic. Thanks for looking

Its a bird... with a mace?

Ok its not a mace he is carrying but you get what I mean. Felt like doing a rough sketch of my favorite flyer Hawkman. Not really happy with how the right arm came out, doesnt match the right wing (or is it the other way around?).

Who needs Lancelot?!

Now I have always liked Mr Dane Whitman otherwise known as The Black Knight. Lately people have been just messing the poor boys history all up to hell. Am I the only one who read Heroes for Hire when Dane was on the team with his new Avalon armor and weapons? He was actually good. No scratch that he was great! He wasn't just some guy with a sword that he only hit people with the flat side and crap like that, not some dude with a kmart lightsaber and a bad lorenzo lamas look, but grew into a major player. But that was soon forgotten and he was again delegated to being a dude with an ebony sword (still not sure if its the original or not). But it seems that in Captain Britain and MI13 that his Avalon powers might be back. A Light shield to go with his ebony blade... brilliant! Seriously its so simple its perfect. Now if the horse he is flying on is his from Heroes for Hire then we are set (I mean it could fly underwater or in outerspace and could reach mach 1 for crying out loud! MAGIC HORSES RULE) Anyway here is Dane in his new look with some minor tweaks. Thanks for looking, opinions are welcomed.

Long time no post..

It has been a long time since I posted anything I had to do something or I was going to explode. I wanted to do something that had nothing to do with my stuff so I chose to do one of my favs Captain Britain. I love the new book but I find his costume a bit lacking. But they write him so well Im giving it a try. This piece is going to be part of a bigger one featuring many of Britain's heroes.

Will I ever be satisfied?!

Since her creation there is no character that has given me more pain and stress then Zoe Thunder. Every time I think I got it down she just becomes this mess and I start going in circles with her. Well once again I think I might be done with her. She is the other-dimensional daughter of Senora Sol and Zack Thunder and I just needed a little bit more of her mom in the design. Critiques are always welcomed.

Captain my captain

Here is my Captain Neutron piece. As you can see the captain is having some trouble at a far off space station having been double crossed by Venus D'milo and now surrounded by (from left to right) former Hollywood actor turned intergalactic rogue Daring Dirk, Venus' robot butler Geese, and the Atlantian criminal L'Yne (without his two comrades Hook and Sinker). Now I know it looks like he is over is head, but if you look carefully you can see a smile on his face because he just took over Geese's systems (I mean he is the smartest man in the universe, taking over a robot butler is a walk in the park people) and make his escape. Alpha meets Omega

Here is some action in Washington DC with my patriotic hero Alpha the All-American. The villains she beating on are (from left to right) Hitech crooks IQ & Hardrive, the alien princess Scarab, and the robot without a head is Armored Dilo. The Giant robot without a head is Ogun god of iron (what can I say... I like my robots without their heads this week). The man with the gun is Alpha's brother Omega (he treats criminals a little harsher than others). Next up is Captain Neutron, thanks.
